Rabbi dates are one of the most important dates for export in Iran. The main regions in Iran known for producing Rabbi dates are Sistan Baluchistan, Saravan, and Iranshahr. These regions play a significant role in the economy and production of these dates.

Rabbi dates are semi-dry. The fruit is red in the unripe stage and turns light brown when semi-ripe. Once fully ripe, it becomes black-brown in color.

The fruit of Rabbi dates closely resembles Pyaram dates. Rabbi dates are known for being fleshy and relatively large, with a long and elongated appearance. The pit of this date is small compared to the flesh.
